Dear client,
We can offer to perform a hardware check on the server. This involves the testing
of all hardware incl. drives, RAM, CPU, NIC and, if present, RAID Controller.
During this test the hardware of your server is extensively checked. Experience
shows that this test can take up to approx. 10 to 14 hours, or even longer in
certain cases.
During this time the server will not be accessible. Should any faults be detected
during the hardware check, the affected hardware will be replaced immediately.
Drives are an exception. Should we discover that a drive is faulty, we shall
clarify the further course of action with you first.
This gives you the opportunity to back up data before the drive is replaced. After
the hardware check has been completed you will receive an email with the results
and details of any action taken.
We will also of course bring the server back online at the end of the check so
that it is reachable again.
Please let us know if you require this kind of hardware check and when it would be
possible for us to perform this.
