1. Delete the Install Folder
You should delete or rename the install directory.
2. Secure the Writeable Directories
It is advisable to move the attachments, downloads & templates_c directories (which need to be writeable for WHMCS to function) outside of the publically accessible folder tree on your website. Instructions for how to do that can be found in the article Further Security Steps
3. Setup the Daily Cron Job
You should setup a cron job in your control panel to run using the following command once per day:
php -q /home/*******/public_html/Support/admin/cron.php
4. Configure WHMCS
You should now configure your installation. Our recommend procedure for doing that can be seen in our manual section Post Installation Suggest Steps
