Premium Network Bandwidth
All Redstation servers come with a inclusive premium bandwidth option. Best path routing is performed to find the optimal path for your traffic from our core and Redstation only selects premium providers for upstream bandwidth. Your traffic will never be routed via a low cost ISP ensuring you receive the same quality bandwidth as our IP Transit customers. Our network links are utilised to an average of less than 40% of capacity before upgrades which ensures your bandwidth is of premium quality.
You can utilise 100% of the bandwidth, 100% of the time - you will not be sharing your bandwidth with any other customers. Premium bandwidth is protected by our SLA.
Bulk Network Bandwidth
Some Redstation servers may be ordered with our Bulk Bandwidth option. Traffic is delivered on a best effort basis only. Capacity is non-guaranteed and average connectivity speeds may depend on average contention ratios and destination. Available speeds may depend on time of day, destination, network peer, network capacity and current contention ratios. Bulk bandwidth is ideal for non-time critical workloads such as offsite replication or heavily mirrored content distribution where location is selected on speed.
Bulk bandwidth is not recommended for streaming or website content as performance is not guaranteed. Bandwidth may be contended or shaped and performance may depend on time of day and week.
