It's very exciting times here at WHMCS. We've got a lot going on, and we're working very hard tweaking and finalising Version 5, updating and adding to our documentation for the new release, and getting everything ready for what is set to be our biggest and best new launch to date.
The beta testing has been going very well, with lots of great ideas and comments coming in from our testing group. And we're still taking on board and acting on suggestions even now in the final stages of preparations.
Thanks also for all the positive feedback we've had relating to the previews & details revealed in recent blog posts. It's really good to know that you're liking what you've seen so far, and if you haven't yet read any of our blog posts about what's coming up, please read on...
New Logo & Website So first of all for those of you who didn't see our blog post last week (http://blog.whmcs.com/?t=42703), the first news we have to reveal is that to coincide with the upcoming V5 release of WHMCS, we've got both a new logo (which you might have already noticed above!) and website we've been working on, designed to reflect a fresher and more up to date WHMCS look, which has been implemented through both the new client area design and admin area design styling updates that will be part of the Version 5.0 release. Our new website will be going live tomorrow!
What's Coming Up in Version 5.0 We've got a lot of great new features, improvements & functionality coming up in Version 5.0, far too many to list them all here. But here's just a selection of what we think are the highlight's:
Brand New Client Area Style - An updated fresh, clean & modern look for the client area
PayPal Express Checkout Integration - Make checkout simpler for customers with PayPal Express
Product Bundles - For offering groups of products, with discounts based on specific criteria
Product Quantities - Support for having products that can be ordered in multiple quantities via the cart
Admin Homepage Widgets - An updated admin area homepage, with customisable blocks & layouts on a per admin basis
Enhanced Mass Product/Service Management - With support for mass module commands, auto-suspend overrides and next due date change prorata billing
Email Marketer - Keep in touch with & promote to your client base automatically
Enhanced Domain Management - Support for auto assigning default nameservers, up to 5 nameserver values & Bulk Domain Management
Domain Pricing Slabs - To allow you to offer different domain pricing to certain groups of clients
Facebook Recommend/Comments & Google+ - More Social Integration for Announcements Sharing & Promotion
